The temples of Kerala signify the age old strong religious belief of people of India. Various gods and goddesses from the Hindu mythology adorn the temples of Kerala. Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple
The Padmanabha Swamy Temple is a 17 storied tower with a marvelous blend of Kerala and Dravidian style of architecture. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and thus, houses a 6m sculpture of His form of Ananthapadmanabha. The temple is famous for its stone carvings and mural paintings. Arattu is an important festival of this temple.

Sabrimala Temple
Sabrimala Temple is dedicated to Lord Ayyappa. Atop a hill of the Western Ghats Sabrimala Temple is the most famous temple in Kerala, and an important Hindu pilgrimage destination too. There are two main festivals held in this temple between the months of November and January-Mandal Puja and Makara Sankranti Puja.

Guruvayoor Temple
In Guruvayoor the famous Sri Krishna Temple is situated which is an important pilgrim centre in Kerala. In the premises of this temple only Hindus are allowed. The walls of the Guruvayoor Temple are inlaid with beautiful mural paintings and intricate carvings.

Vadukkumnathan Temple
Vadukkumnathan Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located in Thrissur (Trichur). It is one of Kerala’s most ancient temples. The temple carries rich Hindu heritage along with historical imprints. There is a museum inside the temple which showcases the ancient wood carvings, wall paintings and artifacts which narrate a history of their own.
